It's day; it's dark;
Ropes of sun rays slam on to the earth
Through the darkness now and then.
Dark is the green canopy above us
That lies scattered with smudges of an azure sky.
The air is humid, sloth...
Full of smells of Greens Galore.
Gloom hangs around us - like Time;
Motionless.Tarryless.
Like the Time before times...
When Time was all new;
When Time passed only in centuries; in decades;
When Time was not shattered into minutes and seconds...
The towering oaks, pines stand still
In Mystique Majesty,
Unfluttered by the two young souls-
As we make our way through the narrow path
Squeezed in between ferns and orchids
And billions of brilliant blooms all along.
I see you as you trot ahead of me
Stooping to collect the tiny wild flowers
Looking with pristine wonder at the butterflies
All ears for each birdnote...
Moving like a Forest Spirit...a Fairy
Lost in the Jingles of a Jungle;
I watch.
Captivated.
Humbled.
